Victoria's research uses geophysical techniques to study volcanoes. Her PhD research focuses on using seismicity recorded on the Soufriรจre Hills volcano, Montserrat to investigate how the surrounding crust (top layer of the earth) responds to activity on the volcano. Victoria is currently teaching an undergraduate course for non-geology-majors called "Geology of the National Parks." The course is delivered completely online, this means that there are a whole other set of challenges involved, but it is very interesting and rewarding to reach so many students at one time.
