projects...
We like to keep busy, nowhere is this more apparent than by checking out the various DIY projects that we like to take on around our house and yard. Here are some of the projects we have undertaken on our first house on Linn Street, State College...we'll add links and more information/photographs as we go on
the pond / rock garden - after the water authority tore up the back of our yard, we decided to put the rocks they unearthed to good use...
the mini-deck - we love our main deck, but during the day in summer the heat gets too much - we decided to build a mini-deck which is located in the shade during the heat of the day...plus it's located by the BBQ patio area where Leo spends most of his time during a get-together
the kitchen - our first 'major' project was a kitchen renovation, nothing too overwhelming, but it certainly took us some time....we did some updating and replaced a few things, adding storage along the way
the bathroom - we wanted to update the bathroom right from the start, but with only 1.5 baths in our house we had to find the 'right' time, hence it took us a while to get around to it...in the meantime we had gotten some more practice in, and a bit more brave, we love the end product
the fire-pit area - there's nothing we love more after a long day toiling in the yard than firing up the grill and sitting around the fire with a beer...we decided to make this a more permanent feature of our yard and are currently in the process of wrapping up this latest addition to our outdoor-living arrangement
